Equator Coffees Cafe @ 222 2nd St. in San Francisco- Opening Tuesday July 19th!

We are ecstatic to announce that this coming Tuesday July 19th Equator will be opening our second San Francisco café at 222 2nd St in San Francisco.  We can’t wait to share a cup of coffee with the community around us.  Like a snowflake, no two Equator cafes are the same.  It’s a space that invites the community in and entices you to get a cup of Equator coffee and take a short (or long) break during the work week.

2016 has been a great year for Equator including being a Good Food Awards winner with coffee from Finca Sophia, our very own coffee farm in Volcan, Panama.  We were also named the National Small Business of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Association, a first for a LGBT-certified company!   One of the aspects that make our fifth Bay Area cafe so unique is its location in the SOMA District.  As part of an 8,700 square foot public space with floor to ceiling windows, the space is awash in natural light.  Not to mention the three beautiful works of art by Frank Stella (from left to right: The Pequod Meets the Delight, Riallaro, and Shards III) that accompany the generous amount of seating and community work space.  With walls adorned with warm and rich floor to ceiling teak wood, it creates a lovely and welcoming feeling. We also love how accessible our latest café is. Centrally located to public transit including, a short two blocks from both BART and MUNI.  One block to the Transbay Terminal with Golden Gate and AC Transit bus lines.  As well as only a block from Mission Street and a couple blocks from Market Street.  We invite you to stop in, grab a coffee and see the space for yourself. Our hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. We feel fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive community and can’t wait to open on Tuesday July 19th! We look forward to seeing you soon.
