Decaf Sumatra MandhelingProfile:Hailing from the famous growing regions around Lake Tawar and Lake Toba in the northern provinces of Sumatra, we find this Mandheling lot to be particularly expressive of the classic herbal-toned flavors of coffee produced in the Lintong area. The word Mandheling refers to an ethnic group that has lived in northern Sumatra for centuries; in the coffee industry the name has come to represent the better Arabica coffee from the island. This coffee has been decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process method, which does not involve use of solvents.
