Tea Preparation
- Start with cold, fresh, filtered water.
- Measure two teaspoons of tea (two heaping teaspoons for green, white and herbal teas) or four grams per 12- to 16-oz. serving.
- Heat water according to your tea:
- Black Tea: 190° F. to boiling. Steep approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Oolong Tea: 170° -190° F. Steep approximately 1-3 minutes.
- Green Tea: 160° -185° F. Steep approximately 2-4 minutes.
- Flower Tea: 185° -195° F. Steep approximately 3-4 minutes. Enjoy watching the tea unfurl.
- White Tea: 155° -185° F. Steep up to 5 minutes.
- Herbal Blends : Boiling. Steep up to 5 minutes.
- Pour water over tea leaves, cover the pot or cup, and infuse to taste.
- Experiment with steeping time and the amount of tea to your own taste.
- Do not over boil or reheat water - tea will taste flat.
