Sweet, Rich Coffee in Less Than 2 Minutes
Place the Aeropress filter in the base and lock onto brewer. Rinse with hot water.
Grind 18g of coffee medium-fine. Think sea salt. Pour into brewer.
Place your brewer onto a cup/vessel. Place both on a scale, tare to 0.
Quickly pour 175g of water into the Aeropress.
Stir the coffee lightly, making sure there are no dry spots.
Place the plunger into the Aeropress just enough to seal the top.
Remove the plunger, and stir for five seconds.
Place the plunger back in the Aeropress.
Remove the plunger and stir again for 5 seconds.
Place the plunger back on the Aeropress and push down until you hear a hissing sound, about 20 seconds.
Serve coffee after all of the coffee and air have been pressed though.
Discard the coffee grounds by removing the base and pushing the plunger all the way down. The spent coffee should come out in a puck along with the filter. It’s best to do this over a receptacle.
