Collaboration Coffees That Give Back to the LGBTQ+ Community
DRINKING GOOD COFFEE LEADS TO GOOD THINGS
Equator Coffees is a woman, and LGBTQ+ founded B-Corp certified coffee roaster that believes coffee can be a force for good. In 2016, Equator was celebrated as the first LGBTQ+ certified business to win the SBA’s small business of the year award.
Since our establishment in 1995 by Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell, Equator has worked to build a community of farmers, roasters, baristas, and supporters, who are celebrated, supported and welcomed as they are.
FORCE FOR GOOD
Iconic culinary duo Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken may be best known for their Modern Mexican concept, Border Grill restaurants, trucks, and catering, which they've run together for more than 35 years, and Socalo, their new California canteen in Santa Monica. $1 from every bag of Mary Sue and Susan’s Las Rosas Colombia coffee will be donated both to the Los Angeles LGBT Center and Regarding Her.
A VISIONARY COLLABORATION
This coffee is inspired by Chef Dominique Crenn, the visionary chef behind Atelier Crenn, a three Michelin Star-rated restaurant in San Francisco. This blend will nourish the soul and contribute to the well-being of others - every bag sold supports Lyric, a San Francisco-based organization that builds community and inspire positive social change with LGBTQ+ youth.
ROAST TO PERFECTION
Complex times call for a complex espresso. This espresso blend combines organic- and Fair Trade-Certified coffees from the world’s major growing regions: Latin America, East Africa, and Indonesia. Like Atelier Crenn Fair Trade Organic Blend, one dollar for every 12oz. bag and two dollars for every 2lb. bag of these coffees supports Lyric.
