Origin Story

Las Rosas Women’s Group

Colombia Las Rosas is a single-origin coffee grown by a group of women farmers in the Huila region of southern Colombia. These producers are part of the Association of Women Coffee Growers of West Huila (Asociación de Mujeres Cafeteras del Occidente del Huila), which makes up the Las Rosas Women’s Coffee Project.

This initiative is a collaboration between multiple organizations, created to support the women of Las Rosas through economic opportunity, social empowerment, and a shared commitment to coffee quality.

Why We Love This Coffee

The most recent harvest from Las Rosas brought a noticeable improvement in the sweet, fruity notes and enhanced the clarity of its pleasant acidity. We felt this lot could stand confidently at a lighter roast level, while still retaining the character long-time fans of Las Rosas know and love.

We’re now roasting this coffee a little faster and finishing at a slightly lower temperature than in the past. While it's more developed than most of our single origin offerings, it still sits at a medium-light roast level. The result is a complex, full-bodied cup that shines as a black coffee but also holds up beautifully with cream, for those who prefer it that way.
