Devorah Freudiger, Director of Coffee Culture

Devorah Freudiger has been working in the coffee industry since 2003 and has made her home at Equator Coffees since 2011.

Throughout her career, she has roasted coffee, trained baristas, judged coffee competitions, Co-Chaired the Good Food Awards coffee category, and competed regionally and nationally in the United States Barista Championship.

Jonathan Whalen, Account Manager & Trainer

Jonathan Whalen has been with Equator Coffees' wholesale team for over five years, spearheading hands-on training and support for our partner cafes.

His coffee journey began at a small bakery outside Chicago—an early spark that turned into a lifelong career as a barista, quality control manager, and account manager in specialty coffee. His signature summer drink is a single-origin espresso with an ice cube.
