Sourced from family-owned farms in the volcanic highlands of Bali's Kintamani region, this naturally processed coffee is grown alongside citrus trees in the shadow of Mount Agung, where the rich volcanic soil and the ancient Subak Abian cooperative system create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. The natural process, introduced in response to water scarcity, sees whole ripe cherries dried on raised beds for even airflow and a clean, consistent cup.
About the Producer
This is the first coffee Equator has offered from the Indonesian island of Bali in over a decade. Many coffee drinkers are familiar with coffee from the island of Sumatra, Bali’s neighbor within the Indonesian archipelago. Sumatran coffees are known for their heavy body, low acidity and earthy flavors. In contrast, coffee from Bali is distinguished by a lighter and brighter flavor profile complimented by a clean finish.
