About the Producer
La Lia mill was built in 2007 by Luis and Oscar Monge, named after their mother, during the infancy of what has been coined the "micro-mill revolution." This movement allowed Costa Rican producers to process their own coffee rather than selling to larger mills, gaining access to higher and more stable prices.
