This coffee was decaffeinated using the Swiss Water® Process of caffeine extraction, without the use of chemical solvents. The coffee soaks in a water containing soluble components of the coffee beans, which removes 99.9% of caffeine molecules while retaining the coffee's original flavor characteristics. Cooperativa Agrícola de Servicios Múltiples Norandino is an umbrella cooperative supporting approximately 7,000 producer-members across Peru's Piura, Cajamarca, Amazonas, and San Martin regions, cultivating over 25,000 acres of coffee. Formed to coordinate exports for three regional cooperatives — CEPICAFE, CENFROCAFE, and Sol y Café — Norandino ensures traceability and quality control throughout the post-harvest process, backed by one of the most state-of-the-art dry mill operations and SCA-certified cupping labs in northern Peru.
