Cafés Finos de Corquín (CAFICO)

For more than ten years, Cafés Finos de Corquín (CAFICO) has been working in Western Honduras to build something truly special: a coffee model that puts organic production, agroforestry, and community development at its core. What started back in 2009 with just 25 producers who wanted to change the conversation around quality and transparency has now grown into a community of over 546 members managing more than 4,000 hectares of coffee in total. Many of the current members are children of founding members. That generational continuity has created a strong sense of commitment to the organization’s growth.

Why We Love This Coffee

Equator was an early adopter of Regenerative Organic Certified coffee. Initially only a handful of cooperatives in Nicaragua achieved this certification. Our sourcing team is pleased to see this significant certification expand to more coffee growing regions. This lot from CAFICO represents our first Regenerative Organic Certified Honduran coffee.

We roasted this coffee to highlight the creamy body and approachable, balanced flavors. It is smooth enough to enjoy without milk, but rich enough to hold up if you don’t take your coffee black.
